This is so great! Sourdough is absolutely up my alley, but several failed attempts during the pandemic put me off - and that was when I had nothing to do but babysit bread for a weekend!! This made it seem much more approachable (:
Let me know if you decide to try it again. Do you need starter? I was thinking of mailing starter to any of my subscribers who ask for it. There is still some babysitting but I'm convinced my way has the least amount of steps that's possible to make a loaf. Also, I made a new batch of bread (another recipe) with sinking starter and it STILL came out great. There's hope for everyone to try!
Aww, thank you, that is so generous! Three of my colleagues do sourdough and have offered starter and advice if I ever need it. Yours looks like the easiest recipe I've seen - I think some of the sourdough evangelizers get way too precious about it and it makes it seem intimidating. It's just bread, even imperfect bread is still bread and therefore delicious!!
