What the birth

What. the. birth.

We all have unique and different birth stories. Heck, each one of Vanessa and Steph’s pregnancies were polar opposite experiences in many ways. Whether you had your baby in a bathtub, on a hospital bed, in the car on the way to a birthing center, your story can be helpful for another mom as she decides on her birth plan. Vanessa spoke to 30 moms on their experiences before her first baby joined the world. Steph, on the other hand, aimed to read a book while working full time and, well, let’s say she “tried” and it was a good coaster for her coffee table.

They also talk about making scary medical decisions while pregnant, unsuccessful breathing techniques, cooking while in labor, and eating placenta.

Whatever you decide to do is the right one. Do your research. Talk to doctors, doulas, midwives, and other experts. Especially, talk to other moms and celebrate their births, even if it’s completely different from your plan or your story.
